# CheckoutAppearanceVariables

> Swift Structure

**Structure**

Global style variables that every element of the checkout inherits.

```swift theme={null}
struct CheckoutAppearanceVariables
```

Use variables to set the base look once. Use `CheckoutAppearanceRules` to override single elements.

## Initializers

### init(fontFamily:fontSizeUnit:colors:)

Creates the variable set.

```swift theme={null}
init(fontFamily: String? = nil, fontSizeUnit: CheckoutFontSize? = nil, colors: CheckoutVariablesColorStyle? = nil)
```

### init(from:)

Inherited from `Decodable.init(from:)`.

```swift theme={null}
init(from decoder: any Decoder) throws
```

## Instance Properties

| Property | Type | Description |

| `colors` | `CheckoutVariablesColorStyle?` | The global colors. |
| `fontFamily` | `String?` | The CSS `font-family` value of all the checkout text, for example `"Inter, sans-serif"`. |
| `fontSizeUnit` | `CheckoutFontSize?` | The base unit of all the checkout font sizes, for example `.px(4)`. |
