Everything to switch before going live with Crossmint Checkout

Crossmint provides two developer environments: staging and production. It is recommended to test end-to-end on staging before moving to production.

Production access requires a signed Order Form and completed KYB (Know Your Business) verification. Staging is fully self-serve — no approvals needed. Contact sales to get started, or see the account verification docs for details.

Verify your Collection

Collection Verification

NFT Checkout requires manual review and approval from the Crossmint team to ensure compliance and quality. This is not a self-service feature. Fill out the form here with details about what you are building so the team can review your use case.

Important: In the field “Please pick the option that best matches your request”, select “I want to sell NFTs with Crossmint.”

This step only applies to NFT collections or other digital items. If you are implementing onramps only (allowing users to purchase crypto tokens directly), you can skip this step.

Collections sold using Crossmint's checkout must be verified to ensure compliance with the Crossmint content policy.

Limits

Transaction Limits

The lower bound limit is USD $0.75 per purchase for primaries and secondaries, and the upper bound limit is USD $1,500 for primaries, and USD $7,000 per purchase for secondaries (marketplaces). Those limits are per purchase. Users can make multiple purchases with total amounts surpassing those thresholds.

Smart Contract Configuration (Optional - NFT only)

If you are using your own smart contract, please ensure that the following parameters and criteria are configured in your smart contract properly:

1. Price per NFT - ensure that the value is configured correctly.
2. If limiting to accesslists - confirm that the accesslist is up-to-date and the appropriate permissions are set.

Launch Checklist

1. Change your API keys to the production versions. Ensure your production API key has the appropriate scopes enabled, such as orders.create.
2. Update your collection ID to the production one.
3. Change all environment URLs from staging.crossmint.com/api/2022-06-09 to www.crossmint.com/api/2022-06-09 (headless integrations only — the SDKs switch automatically).
4. As needed, change your passed-in values to be production ready (e.g. make email, payment, lineItems programmatically filled).
